U-Pick Info.

Welcome to our u-pick gardens! We’re glad you found us!

When you arrive, head to the check-in shed. There you will find buckets/cups, shears, water and payment information. We accept cash, credit card, Venmo and PayPal.

Picking flowers in the morning or evening when it’s cooler is recommended for the best vase life. Flowers stress in the heat just like people. If blooms wilt, change the water when you get home and let them rest in a cool (not cold) room for a few hours before arranging. Avoid placing under ceiling fans.

If you’re unsure a flower is ready, gently wiggle the stem. A floppy head or rubbery stem means it’s not ready. A firm stem indicates it’s ready to pick.

Cut stems so the flowers sit in the bucket the same way you want them to sit in your vase. Since the bucket is about vase height, cut stems long enough to rise well above it for the best look. Remember you will be trimming the stems again after you create your arrangements.

Please return the shears when you have finished picking. The bucket / cup is yours to keep.

When you come out to pick, we ask that you wear sneakers or good walking sandals. The paths are all covered to make walking through the flowers easy, but to put our minds at ease and to help ensure safety, please wear appropriate garden footwear.

No pets, please.

Children are absolutely welcome but are expected to behave respectfully and remain with you at all times. This means no running throughout the gardens/farm, pulling off flowers or climbing across rows. If we spot these behaviors, we will have to ask you to leave the garden. A tremendous amount of time and work goes into keeping the garden beautiful, and we ask that you help us keep it that way.

The garden feeds countless pollinators, and this includes bees. While being stung is rare, it can happen. For this reason, we ask that anyone with a bee allergy opt out of the U-Pick.

You will take your flowers home to arrange in the comfort of your own home. As you create your arrangements, be sure to remove any leaves below the water level in your vase. Leaves submerged in water decay and create bacteria that shorten vase life.

Our 2-gallon u-pick buckets hold enough flowers for you to make several mason jar sized arrangements at home. When you pick, visualize your vase or jar is about as tall as the bucket. Pick your stems long enough so your flowers come out of the vase to create a tall, visually appealing arrangement.
